Welcome to the Relevant Yield Feature and Information Letter!
During the last 3 months, we have had a lot to do around our optimisation/features. We’ve also welcomed new members to our developer team! We are really happy with this significant update, and I am sure that you will find several of the (many!) items we are launching very useful.
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!
- Prebid server support for the Relevant Yield Bid Adapter in Prebid
- Prebid version reporting dimension
- Year-on-year and month-on-month comparison settings
- Email subscription for all types of reports
- Added support for GAM lazy loading
- Dashboard widget support for HB historical reports
The release will be made available today and throughout the rest of the week.
1. Prebid server support for the Relevant Yield Bid Adapter in Prebid
As you may or may not know, Relevant Yield also has a bid adapter, where you can run your own SSP stack, in someone else's wrapper (very useful if you are a Sales/Programmatic network), and we have now added support for server-side as well. This means that it is now possible to run our adapter in Prebid server environments, like Mobile App environments, for example.
You can read about our Adapter on the Prebids page here and the Relevant Yield knowledge base here.
What's in it for you?
It is great to provide your SSPs to a wrapper that you do not control, through a single bidder. So, a larger Publisher can add our bidder, where you run your SSPs, like you would on your own website and wrapper; and we do a server-side auction between your sources.
This creates more competition, and you can bring many sources through one connection - increasing the revenues for both you and your Publisher.
If you are interested in learning more, you can always reach out to us, and we can help you out!
2. Prebid.js version reporting dimension
We have added a new dimension for reporting on what Prebid.js version is running in your system. This is good for keeping track of what versions you are running and if there are any known issues with your current versions. It also brings the option to see changes between versions when updating.
What's in it for you?
Get a better overview of where different Prebid versions are running (and maybe a slight nudge to update if they get too old!). It also makes it easier to spot potential problems when transitioning from one version to another as you can compare the performance.
3. Year on Year and Month on Month comparison settings
You now have some quick select options for the YoY and the MoM straight in the Reporting/Dashboard widgets, making comparisons faster and easier.
When selecting YoY, it will simply show you the same dates that you are looking at, but from the prior year. The same will happen if you select MoM, but instead of selecting the previous year, it will select the previous month.
What is in it for you?
Faster comparisons for YoY and MoM, making it particularly useful in January when you are summarising 2023.
4. Email subscription for all types of reports
Earlier, we only had support for automated scheduling of your reports through emailing available for the API Insight reports, but we have now added support, so any type of report can use the scheduling function.
What is in it for you?
An easier way to share information, for example, on a weekly basis for all our modules and report types in Relevant Yield.
As an example, you can provide your tech team with weekly day-by-day emails concerning the site latency, or maybe day-by-day reports during a larger change on your website layout to keep everyone in the loop about the consequences. Of course, it can be anything that you can report on!
5. Improved support for lazy loading options
As you know, we have always supported lazy loading for our HB Manager product, and it has been handled through our own solution, where you can go in high detail, and set your lazy loading placement by placement.
Now, we are also introducing the option to use the more standardised GAM lazy loading option from the GUI:
You find the new settings in the Prebid parameters (Site level as an example), in the “Generic Prebid Config Data”.
What is in it for you?
Another option for running your lazy loading, and you can always try out both options and see what works best for you!
6. Dashboard widget support for HB historical reports
As you may or may not know, the HB Analytics module works with high granularity data (every single impression logged with a 10-minute report granularity), and that is a very data-heavy operation. So, after x number of days (depending on your contract), we take the data and aggregate it into one-day segments, which means that we can store the data long-term.
The long-term historical data is available to report on through the reporting option HB historical:
Until now, you have not been able to add that data to your dashboard, but that has changed now. You can add Dashboard widgets based on the HB historical data to the dashboard also.
What is in it for you?
Long-term overviews of your Prebid Analytics reports are made easier, which can be really nice if you want to see things like month-by-month eCPM performance comparisons and other similar metrics.
